Dear Sir or Madam: I am writing this letter of thanks to Mr. & Mrs. Glaser of the Long Beach chapter of Rebuilding Together who have done so much for my mother, Merle Kenny of Long Beach.  I was there during that busy few days when the crew was pouring concrete for a new driveway and the other crew were hard at work tidying up her backyard.  I can't thank you enough for lifting this heavy burden off of her shoulders (and mine) and now she no longer has to worry about tripping over the cracked and broken concrete pathways that led up to her front door. She still talks about that weekend when I speak to her over the phone and the peace of mind she has now.  I am her only son and I live up in God's country (Idaho) and this makes it difficult at times when mom needs a large repair job doing and I can't always get down to the beach.
