Seventy-six percent of households served by Rebuilding Together have a resident over the age of 65, many of whom have mobility issues. Safe at Home helps older adults remain safe, healthy and independent in their homes and communities for as long as possible.

Safe at Home serves veterans and their families through Veterans at Home.

Our work is focused in Long Beach, but our reach may extend to Orange and LA counties depending on funding.

Electrical and plumbing
Clutter clean up
Ramp construction
Rodent elimination

Long Beach Development Services offers a Home Improvement Rebate Program

The Home Improvement Rebate Program (HIRP) reimburses eligible owners of residential properties up to $2,000 to improve the exterior of their properties. Since 1987, property owners have received rebates to pay for improvements involving paint, stucco, doors, driveways, porch, and window repairs.
