The Inspirational Journey of Debra - A Retired Entrepreneur and Dedicated Volunteer

Debra's journey began in Lakewood. At 19, with a sense of duty and service to her country, she enlisted in the army in 1979. She found herself stationed in Germany, where her commitment to duty and the camaraderie she experienced shaped her outlook on life. The discipline and values instilled during her military service laid the foundation for the chapters that would follow.

After an honorable discharge in 1981, she returned to the United States and purchased a home in Long Beach. Debra pursued a successful career as an accountant, showcasing her aptitude for numbers. Building on that experience, Debra took on the entrepreneurial path, becoming the proud owner of an event company. Her creativity and organizational skills shone through as she orchestrated memorable night club events and banquets, that brought joy to countless people.

Debra's volunteer work became a lifeline for veterans and seniors in her community. Providing companionship to seniors to offering support and resources for veterans, Debra's selfless dedication has become a source of inspiration for those around her. Through her actions, she demonstrates that retirement can mark the beginning of a new chapter filled with purpose, compassion, and a commitment to uplifting others.

However, life threw her a curveball when she faced a disability that forced her to reach out for assistance. Debra is requesting that her tub be replaced with a walk-in shower that can be accessed safely.

In a world where challenges can either break us or shape us, Debra stands tall as a beacon of strength and resilience leading her to a life of service to veterans and seniors. Despite facing personal challenges, Debra's story is one of empowerment, kindness, and unwavering dedication to making a positive impact on the lives of others.
